yes, they are, indeed - at least some of them, and others are quite sad! But on the note of asking them...if you are trying to point out the citizen's right not to be photographed... you know, zoom is a great invention. I only asked 5 of them explicitly (5, 12, 15, 16, 17) and I informed a sixth one (18) that I had taken a photo. Those are pretty much the best snaps, actually, because I could get closer.

great idea and good work. I especially like the second one, but the third one induced me to reflection about course of events in humans life... thinking about this man's childhood is stiring my imagination, and i started to wondering what my life will looks like in next 50 years! thanks for sharring
